MY STORY

My passion for woodworking started at the age of nine when my neighbor gave me a bench scroll saw and a wood lathe. My first project was making a key holder for my grandmother, an item which I have hanging in our kitchen today!

In high school I excelled in wood shop, making tables, lamps and a desk. As I entered adulthood and acquired a number of pieces of wood working equipment, I really enjoyed making furniture, building decks and doing various home improvements.

After moving to Virginia in 2008, I found a home with a detached garage where I could really expand my woodworking passion.

In 2013, after spending 42 years in the heavy construction business building highways, bridges, light rail systems and marine facilities, I decided it was time to retire and spend more time working with wood.  I expanded my shop and purchased a line of quality equipment. Over the last 4 years I have perfected my skills by making furniture for my home and family.  This year I decided I would start selling my furniture.

I was saved in 2002 and became a follower of Jesus Christ, a carpenter, therefore I chose my logo, “Son of the Carpenter”.  I thank God daily for the skills he has given me and I am blessed that I can share my work with others.

God Bless!

Testimonials

"I cannot speak more highly of the AMAZING live edge dining room table that Dale made for my family. The wood is absolutely beautiful... you can see all of its lines and unique colors. It is so strudy that not even my 5 year old twin boys can put a dent in it! I know that we will be eating family dinners at our table for years to come."
"Dale took a concept and turned it into a masterpiece. We love the beautiful bunk-bed he created. He is a gifted craftsman and we are blessed to have had him build our furniture and various other projects."

"We have two chair-height benches from Dale and they are beautiful! Dale lovingly restored repurposed barn wood to make the benches that sit at our dining room table. They combine the natural beauty of the aged wood with a functional, durable design that our four kids put through the ringer, daily! His craftsmanship is second to none and we will be getting more items from Dale soon!"
